Olive Harvest Experience Picking olives and eating a traditional meal with a Jordanian family. Work side by side with the local community and afterwards share a traditional meal. In the end of the olive picking, participants will learn how to prepare pickled olives and will take a jar home. This offering is available in October and November.

Preparing for Jordan
— Children under 12 receive a new friend, Jafar, who comes with a story book telling what his life is like in Jordan
— The whole family will receive recipes, books and movies preparing them for their safari
— It is recommend that children be at least 3 years of age or older at the time of travel for our trips to Jordan.
— Summer is very hot in Jordan. We avoid the desert south in summer and we are sure to suggest hotels with swimming pools. It is best to avoid the Ramadan holiday month while fasting during the day is observed in public. In 2017, Ramadan will be May 26-June 25; it moves 10 days earlier each year.
— A visa and valid passport is required with six months before expiration for entry into Jordan.
